About the Artist

I wrote this song all about realising you’re starry-eyed for someone once everything in your life seems to lead back to one person. With it's upbeat indie-pop vibe, I crafted the song so it shifts between sad and happy to mimic the mixed emotions of what it feels like to have a crush and navigate the ups and downs of life inbetween. I produced and mixed this song in my home studio, then had additional production and mixing from Australian audio engineer Sam Harris and mastering done by grammy-award winning Randy Merrill (Sterling Sound, US). Based around the Northern Rivers of NSW, Australia, Filly Mack is an indie-pop artist whose songs are often defined by their emotional depth and raw authenticity, drawing listeners in with honest lyrics and soul-stirring melodies. Inspired by the complexities of life, and weaving them into heartfelt stories through piano-driven pop, Filly has a delicate but powerful way of captivating her audience with messages of love, loss and vulnerability.
