Larry Cann has a passion for country music. This is fuelled by a life rich in experiences, from the farm in Chinchilla, Q to competing across North America he has lived the cowboy lifestyle. Larry lives in Yarraman, Qld and juggles music, radio, and announcing duties. The song came about from the very first songwriting session that Larry had in Nashville in June of 2023. I’d been set to write with Scott Barrier who has written with quite a few Aussie over the years via Michael Flanders ex-pat Aussie and my producer. We introduced each other and Scott had said I’d definitely lived the cowboy lifestyle as he had said he looked up my background. Through this conversation he said let’s write a cool cowboy song. Not about hats, not about boots but how about the Cowboys Hands which was what farmers, and cattleman stood by and used day by day. In the song it depicts a cowboy running the rodeo trail pulling a trailer down the road as he goes. The hands in many ways are the heart of the cowboy as the song suggests. The track features an A list of players with smooth production from Michael and Caleb Flanders. Its radio friendly and will be a favourite live with the full band.
