Dharug Lands/Western Sydney based DEVAURA has released her sophomore EP Vol.2: If You Don’t Laugh, You’ll Cry. Vol.2: If You Don’t Laugh, You’ll Cry is a cinematic and unflinching exploration of what it means to be perceived. Across six genre-warped tracks, she explores the emotional labour of visibility, the longing to be seen, the fear of being misunderstood, and the exhaustion of adapting just to survive. Merging electronic, R&B, hip-hop and pop it features already released singles ‘DANCEHEAD’, ‘EVERYTHING SO CORNY’ ft. B.Wise, and ‘WHY SO SENSITIVE?’ as well as 2 additional tracks. The focus song on the EP is ‘HOME’. Says DEVAURA; “With this track, I got to confront some hard truths and struggles around shame, loneliness, self-sabotage, and the exhaustion of perception. It’s not all doom and gloom. This track is my release. It’s about acknowledging the pain and fear whilst making room for something new to develop. This track is dedicated to anyone who's felt lost and is fighting to find their way back to themselves. - I hope this track can be the anthem that guides you there.” Since bursting onto the scene in 2023, DEVAURA has earned critical acclaim and industry recognition, including being crowned triple j Unearthed Laneway 2025 winner, receiving two FBi SMAC Awards for Best Live Act and Best Emerging Act, and the Acclaim Magazine x PUMA Wildcard Award.
