Bone Girl

Ash Perseus (she/her) is an indie-folk artist from Melbourne, Australia with a rare gift for deep, philosophical songwriting. Her debut single, out 3 Sept via Wild At Heart Records, marks the powerful first chapter of an emerging artist with a massive vision for the future. Ash’s songwriting explores her life experiences, including trauma, mental health struggles, love, loss, healing, and resilience. Ash writes about both what she has been through and what she continues to face every day. Her music is unique because it is an authentic reflection of who she is. Every song comes from a real place and expresses her raw emotions without hiding behind a character or persona. Song Info: A masterclass in cinematic folk, Ash Perseus’s debut single is a breathtakingly raw exploration of identity, survival, and reclamation. The track opens with a stark, haunting intimacy, as her evocative vocals weave through a quiet tapestry of acoustic guitar and somber strings, unpacking the heavy weight of a borrowed life. However, rather than succumbing to the shadows of the past, the song beautifully transforms. It builds into a sweeping, triumphant crescendo of percussion and soaring melodies—a sonic awakening that mirrors Ash’s own journey of stepping out of the smoke and into the daylight. Deeply philosophical and fiercely resilient, the track is not just an introduction to Ash’s profound songwriting, but a powerful anthem for anyone learning to grow through the cold.
