I'm really grateful to Local Sounds for the work they did to amplify my first single, 'kintsugi'. As a new, independent artist there are so many things to do, and it can be hard to find space for the time-consuming work of pitching to music publications and playlist curators. Local Sounds did a lot of heavy lifting here, pitching my work widely and landing my track a spot on a playlist with over 38k followers, as well as a feature with Spinex Music - an international music discovery platform and digital magazine.
Local Sounds also promoted my work widely on their own website and radio - it really felt like they took a sincere and genuine interest in my art, and that was a wonderful feeling to have, especially as a first-timer. I'm pretty stoked with how the Local Sounds campaign worked. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect, but hitting a 35% conversion rate on the outreach was massive for an indie project like mine. The highlight for me was definitely cracking into the US, getting that video interview with Chris Hedden on On the Back Edge of the Beat felt like a cool opportunity.
