Golden Guitar winner and ARIA #1 artist Duncan Toombs celebrates family, friends and belonging with first taste of his second solo album, 'I Go Home'. After spending much of his life travelling the world playing guitar, winning Golden Guitars, topping the ARIA Australian Country Charts and building an international following, Duncan is coming home. The single has everything a feel-good country song should have from a great melody to a catchy guitar hook and lyrics that are relatable and have you singing along. Following his appearance at the Gympie Music Muster in August, where he launched the rollout of his second solo album, ‘I Go Home’ marks the beginning of a campaign that will see Duncan take his music across Australia and overseas, with a national tour running through to June 2027 before further international touring in the USA and Canada. Born and raised in Toowoomba, Queensland, Duncan now lives on the Central Coast of NSW with his family. Home has always been an important part of his story, but after four months touring Canada with award-winning Canadian country star Gord Bamford, the sentiment behind ‘I Go Home’ means even more. “I've spent a lot of time travelling this world. I've met a lot of beautiful and warm-hearted people. But there's something about the kind of unconditional love and acceptance you get from your own tribe,” he said. “I'm certainly not blind to the fact that home doesn't hold this love for a lot of people out there. In some cases it's the complete opposite and my heart goes out to you. But I do think it's something we're all chasing down here on earth. Love and acceptance. No money or success can fill that part of our hearts. If you're looking to fill it, I just don't think there's anything better than having family and friends that truly care for us. I got it, and I thank God every day for being one of the lucky ones.”
