About this release
Hailing from a quiet small town in regional NSW, Eleanor makes music that tears the quiet apart — raw, distorted grunge sound woven through with dark, smoky jazz undertones. She has been carving out her voice since she was young, shaped and fuelled by the unflinching honesty of artists like Lana Del Rey, Amy Winehouse, Paramore, Avril Lavigne, Mitski and more. Behind the grit and the fuzz is years of training: classical vocal studies from 13–17, performing in exams and eisteddfods; pop vocal coaching from 18–20 to sharpen her stage presence and command; and piano lessons from age 9, where she first learned to turn feeling into sound on keys, also performing in multiple eisteddfods and exams. Eleanor doesn’t hide the craft — she lets it crackle and roar under the noise. Every note is equal parts technique and tempest. Song Info: This song was originally recorded by my father sometime back in the 90s, he let me have the song a few years back. I changed the lyrics to reflect on my feelings and thoughts about his passing and released my version and his original version on the 25th of June 2026, one year after his passing. My version of the song changes the tone and atmosphere of the track, making it a song reflective of loss and grief- whereas his version was about “a turmoil relationship” as he had described it. It’s a song very close to my heart, and I hope you enjoy it
