‘Here We Go’ is the new single from Perth songwriter, Mark Griffin: bright-tempo acoustic folk-country with a reflective heart. It is a song about heading into an unknown destiny and learning to let go, of children grown, of people we love, and finally of life itself. Upbeat on the surface, with something quieter underneath. "It's a cheerful-sounding song about a melancholy most people feel at times," Griffin says. "You spend a long time holding on to things, and then one by one you don't get to any more. I wanted it to sound like a walk out the door rather than sitting down and grieving." The track is carried by Elliot Smith's production at Sundown Studios in Fremantle.
