You start picking up on its nuances, diving into its sonic depths. There’s something about their blend of traditional folk vibes and modern kicks, that mix of comfort and adventure, the sound of the past and the potential of what’s to come. Piperlain sounds both comfortingly familiar and astonishingly fresh” Dave Franklin, Dancing About Architecture “Shine on You is an EP that is uniquely haunting and beautiful at the same time” Brooke Gibbs, The Music “An enchanting set of tracks… impressive is the band’s willingness to take on growingly complex musical aesthetics such as with ‘Bloom’” RGM “Piperlain’s artistic sensibilities are whimsical, uncommon and devastating. With a tendency towards subtlety, their canvas is usually brimming with dainty details carried by the stream of tender vocals…The EP is a four-track wonder, scaling genres like soul rock, alt-country, melodic pop, and soul. ‘I Feel the Sun,’ with its heart-melting lyrics, sweet vocals and dreamy melodies, is the moving image of their style, a representation of the duo’s inventiveness and flair for creativity” Good Music Radar “Mother Mourned…a devastating, tragically beautiful concept album…full of confessional lyrics and understated, quietly devastating instrumentation” Joseph Earp – The Brag "Time is an impressive EP. Especially with the title track...It gives that kind of energy from the vocals and guitar doing this bouncy rhythm. This song is definitely movie-soundtrack worthy...with an unforgettable melody and feel-good emotion" "Deceived starts with an intro in the vein of an Evanescence song. The drums in this track are jaw-dropping" "Overall, the EP showcases a great level of songwriting, performance and stylistic choices...These two know their stuff" RGM Song Info: ‘Yearning for You’ is a folk pop track featured on the latest EP 'Beginnings', with interesting vocal lines, piano and an uplifting chorus with harmonies reminiscent of The Corrs. The song is about moving forward from a relationship, starting a new, quiet life, but with mixed desires to reconnect. The video clip captures the emotional duality of the song as a journey between two opposing atmospheres. The first half immerses us in a muted, wintry landscape, where the protagonist wanders reflectively near an old, abandoned cabin; it serves as a visual reflection of that unease and the instinctive need to isolate oneself from the world after a breakup. The visual and narrative turning point arrives when she pauses to observe the horizon, and the environment blossoms into a spring meadow, subtly bathed in yellow (golden) tones. This stroll through a warmer landscape symbolizes her personal growth, culminating at a new cabin surrounded by light and beauty that represents that much-desired reconnection with life.
