Psyeyote is a Melbourne-based psytrance artist built on more than four decades of musicianship. With 40 years of piano, 35 years of electric guitar, and around 20 years exploring audio production as a hobby, his music draws on a lifetime of playing, experimenting and creating. Over the past five years, Psyeyote has taken music production seriously, producing, mixing and mastering his own releases from start to finish. His sound blends hypnotic psytrance rhythms with influences from classical piano, rock, metal, guitar-driven music and hip-hop, combining electronic production with the instincts of a lifelong musician. At a time when music is increasingly being generated through AI and text prompts, Psyeyote remains committed to creating without AI-generated production. Every track is built hands-on, with a focus on musicianship, experimentation and preserving the human element behind the music. The result is energetic, melodic and immersive psytrance shaped not just by production techniques, but by decades of actually playing music. Song Info: Piezo Crystals is an 8-minute psytrance journey built around the idea of energy, vibration and transformation — inspired by the way piezoelectric crystals convert physical pressure into electrical energy found in the guitar used in this track. The track begins with acoustic guitar before gradually transforming into driving psychedelic rhythms, melodic layers and heavier electronic energy. As it develops, guitar becomes an increasingly important part of the journey, culminating in a Spanish and flamenco-influenced section toward the final stages of the track. Produced, mixed and mastered entirely by Psyeyote, Piezo Crystals brings together electronic production and live musicianship, moving between organic and synthetic sounds while maintaining the hypnotic momentum of full-on psytrance. Like the crystals that inspired its name, the track is ultimately about turning vibration into energy.
