I started writing lyrics in 2022 as a way to process what I was going through. My first song, 'Stars Amongst the Darkness,' took shape late last year and came to life this year. As a 17-year-old navigating life in DCJS care after growing up in traumatic environments, music has been my primary form of therapy. Turning those heavy experiences into indie-rock tracks with driving drums and electric guitars is my way of taking back control and stepping forward into a new chapter.
