Ready For More

I started writing lyrics in 2022 as a way to process what I was going through. My first song, 'Stars Amongst the Darkness,' took shape late last year and came to life this year. As a 17-year-old navigating life in DCJS care after growing up in traumatic environments, music has been my primary form of therapy. Turning those heavy experiences into indie-rock tracks with driving drums and electric guitars is my way of taking back control and stepping forward into a new chapter. Song Info: This song is about moving through deep hardship and finally feeling like you're getting somewhere, inspired by my incredible support team and support workers who stepped in during 2025 when I was dealing with intense mental health struggles almost every night; now that things have settled and they've told me how proud they are of how far I've come, I bring these lyrics to life every week through music therapy in Tahmoor with Patrick Nellestein, who helps turn my words into finished songs.
