The Gold Coast’s premier rock band, The Drunken Midnight Choir are a compact trio of music veterans who pack a serious punch both on stage and in the studio. Built around clever songwriting, soaring vocals, thunderous drums and a high-energy live performance, the DMC have developed a sound that is as dynamic as it is unapologetically their own. Formed in 2021 by Irish-born singer, songwriter and guitarist Richard Neill, The Drunken Midnight Choir have spent the years since building an ever-growing catalogue of original music while continually pushing their sound in new directions. What began as a songwriting project has evolved into a powerful live outfit, drawing on each member’s years of experience to create something bigger than the sum of its parts. Blending the raw energy of rock with the storytelling and acoustic sensibilities of folk, the grit of blues and the edge of indie, the DMC are difficult to put neatly into a box.
