Ani On Keys
I’m Ani On Keys, an independent electronic music producer and artist based in London, UK. I’ve been making music and exploring production for several years, beginning with a background in piano and keyboard before developing a deeper interest in composition, electronic music and music technology. My music is shaped by the contrast between my Indian musical background and my love for electronic and cinematic sound. I enjoy bringing together Indian melodic and rhythmic ideas with synths, sound design and modern production techniques, moving across synthwave, experimental electronic and atmospheric fusion. My recent releases include “Thrishanku Heaven: Swaras in Suspension”, which explores Indian-inspired melodies through an atmospheric electronic setting, and “Stay Ahead: The Astra Awakening”, a synthwave-driven track with cinematic, video-game-inspired energy. Based in London, I’m currently developing my debut EP, *Liminal Frequencies*, while continuing to perform, produce and explore new ways of bringing Indian influences into contemporary electronic music. For me, the most exciting part of making music is finding unexpected connections between different sounds, cultures and ideas. Song Info: “Stay Ahead: The Astra Awakening” is a synthwave-inspired electronic track about momentum, ambition and the feeling of continuing to move forward even when things around you are uncertain. I wanted the track to feel energetic and optimistic, while still having a cinematic quality that makes it feel like the soundtrack to a journey or a video game. The track was inspired by my love of retro electronic music and video-game soundtracks, combined with my interest in bringing elements of Indian music into contemporary electronic production. I used synth-driven melodies, electronic drums and Indian rhythmic influences to create a sound that feels both nostalgic and modern. “Stay Ahead” was written, produced and arranged independently in my home studio in London, UK, using Logic Pro and a combination of software instruments and MIDI production. The entire track was developed from the initial idea through to the final production in my own setup.
