Anabelle is a Magandjin (Brisbane) based singer-songwriter with a dramatic, genre-bending sound. Weaving together a love of introspective storytelling and her background in composition, she expands her alternative-pop, folk, rock and classical influences into her own distinctive sound. After honing her stagecraft performing with Serendipiti, composing scores for local short films and refining her style, she creates a debut that is both polished and raw. Annabelle’s debut single, ‘Back to You’ is a lush, sprawling anthem for anyone haunted by a love that refuses to stay dead. Blending cinematic textures with the raw storytelling of alternative-pop, the track navigates the frustration of a situationship with soaring vocals and expansive production. ‘Back to You’ is an emotionally charged introduction to Annabelle’s world, capturing the relentless cycle of letting someone back in against your better judgment. It is a debut that is as bruising as it is beautiful.
