About the Artist

With a textured, cinematic sound and a narrative rooted in resilience, Autumn Sage offers more than just music; she invites listeners to find beauty in the shadows of their deepest emotions. Song Info: AUTUMN SAGE EXPLORES MOTHERHOOD, AUTHENTICITY, AND THE COURAGE TO REMAIN VULNERABLE IN NEW SINGLE "PERFECT LITTLE PERSON" Perth alt-chamber folk artist Autumn Sage returns with "Perfect Little Person," the poignant second single from her upcoming debut EP, (re?)Awakening, the opening chapter of The Notebook Sessions. Following the raw self-reckoning of the EP's debut single, this track shifts the lens outward, charting a moving, multi-generational conversation between a mother and her growing son. The song strips away polished studio conventions in favor of an exquisite, minimalist arrangement. Built upon delicate finger-picked guitar and warm, resonant cello, the instrumentation operates with the conversational intimacy of a classical string ensemble, wrapping Autumn Sage’s tender vocals and rich harmonies in a cinematic embrace. Written from the perspective of a mother of 6 with a later-life neurodivergence diagnosis, the lyrics confront the painful tendency to mask our true selves for the comfort of others. It evolves from a fragile infant's lullaby into a fierce, protective declaration for a grown man, challenging the societal pressure to become "palatable." This song is a prayer for the next generation. It's about wanting our children to bypass the years of hiding that so many of us endure, and to realise they are already entirely whole. Recorded sustainably from her home studio, while navigating motherhood and chronic illness, the track reinforces Autumn Sage’s dedicated DIY philosophy. Driven by the authentic, atmospheric textures of her live trio, The Autumn Leaves, it stands as a striking testament to her belief that true beauty lies in raw, unfiltered honesty.
