About the Artist

Bahis is a one person act forged in isolation. They are self taught, self funded and fully independent, owing more to trial and error than any tutorial or teacher. Their influences range from old-school hiphop and alternative pop, to folk and rock. From to song to song their style and genres may vary, but they are always undeniably themselves. "MADE LEMONADE" in its sound and production exemplifies the kind of freedom, only 100% independence can afford. Its lyrics describe a form of relatable misery, that most Australian youth experience in their day to day. Bahis from the bottom of a pit, sings of their plight, so that their generation may heal and escape it. "I was inspired by the likes of the alternative hip-hop greats of the 2010's, like XXXTentacion and Juicewrld, and sought to bring that style to a more mournful place. They hated the world for the awful circumstances they found themselves in, i hate it for the reality that our entire generation faces." Bahis plans to follow up this single with an EP named "GORMLESS," which will include "MADE LEMONADE," alongside other genre blending songs made entirely by them.
