Beige Radio
Bio: Beige Radio is the brainchild / alter ego / arch-nemesis of Wes Gonzalez, a silently verbose Peruvian-American man hailing from San Diego, California. He’s been playing music for far too long, but just can’t seem to stop. It’s a sickness. But thankfully, that sickness often manifests itself through SICK guitar licks and SICK vocals that have helped him receive comparisons to artists such as American Football, Pinegrove, Elliott Smith, Brand New, Radiohead, and Dashboard Confessional to name a few. Song Info: Sowing Season is an acoustic Midwest emo track built around cyclical effort and quiet resilience—returning to something over and over, even when it feels futile. Played on a classical guitar, but at a faster tempo (148 BPM), it blends urgency with intimacy, landing somewhere between indie folk and Midwest emo. The repeated line ‘where there’s sod to sow we swear we’ll seed again’ anchors the song’s theme of persistence. Fans of American Football and Pinegrove would connect with its emotional tone and stripped-back arrangement. It was inspired when the death of an old relative coincided with a newfound love of gardening. which brought new meaning to watching the life and death cycle of plants. A stop-motion animation video of a man trying to grow a plant was made alongside the song and can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxDceZpvTqk
