Fresh from the success of her previous hit ‘Cowboy Casanova’, Australian country artist Bianca Joulianou returns with her most compelling release yet. Dreamy, haunting and packed with attitude, ‘The Rich Girl’ is a country-pop anthem that captures the sting of being second in line. Driven by shimmering production, moody guitars and Bianca's commanding vocal delivery, ‘The Rich Girl’ tells the story of watching someone choose a life of wealth and status over genuine connection. The track explores the quiet devastation of feeling like you'll never measure up, wrapped in a haunting country-pop sound that lingers long after the final chorus. "The song was written from a really honest place,” shares the singer-songwriter. “I started thinking about those moments where you can't help but compare yourself to someone who seems to have everything, and the lyrics just flowed from there." Produced by acclaimed Australian producer Quinn (Keith Urban, Rachael Fahim, Shannon Noll) the song blends contemporary country with a cinematic, atmospheric edge; the perfect complement to Bianca's emotionally charged songwriting. Throughout the session the song evolved effortlessly. "Working with Quinn in the studio was such a fresh new experience. He brought a whole new perspective to the song that I hadn’t thought of, and our ideas were just bouncing off each other throughout the whole session."
