About the Artist

Blue Ren is an emerging alternative country and folk artist from regional Victoria, crafting songs that pair raw vulnerability with powerful storytelling. Her music explores the complexities of mental health, grief, resilience and human connection, inviting listeners into deeply honest and emotionally resonant experiences. Over the past two years, Blue Ren has developed her debut album, Unbecome, alongside acclaimed producers Israel Amoy (Bunkr Creative), James McGuffie (Forrest Creek Records) and Sam Boon (Sunny Side Records). Her artistic journey has been shaped by mentorship from ARIA Award-winning songwriter Lior and supported by legendary Australian music journalist and publicist Stuart Coupe. Blue Ren's first two singles, Running From Myself and GHOST, and her most recent single Stay With Me featuring Netherby, received national airplay on ABC Country Radio, while her growing catalogue continues to gain support across community radio and live audiences. She was also selected for the City of Ballarat's prestigious Be Hear Now artist development program, recognising her as one of the region's most promising emerging artists. Backed by an exceptional live band, Blue Ren delivers captivating performances that blend intimate storytelling with soaring musicianship. Having performed at festivals and events to audiences of more than 4,000 people, she is building a reputation for creating genuine emotional connection through her live shows. Away from the stage, Blue Ren works as an Occupational Therapist, bringing a deep understanding of the importance of creativity, community and wellbeing into everything she creates. With her current album release, Unbecoming, Blue Ren is emerging as a compelling new voice in Australian alternative country and folk. Press Release-Stay With Me BLUE REN AND FOLK SINGER NETHERBY COME TOGETHER IN HEARTFELT, CONVERSATIONAL COUNTRY DUET “STAY WITH ME” Blue Ren returns with Stay With Me, a new country-inspired duet featuring Netherby. The song explores the feeling of wanting someone to stay, even when deep down you know the relationship isn’t good for you anymore. Rather than facing the uncertainty of starting over, Stay With Me reflects on how easy it can be to hold onto something familiar, especially in a world where modern dating and online connections can feel isolating and exhausting. “Stay With Me is about knowing you should walk away, but being scared of what comes next,” says Blue Ren. “Sometimes staying feels easier than starting again.” Blending acoustic guitars, country influences, and emotional vocal harmonies, the track leans into honest storytelling and raw emotion. The duet between Blue Ren and Netherby gives the song a conversational feel, capturing both vulnerability and the emotional push and pull that comes with trying to let go of someone.
