Bio: Butterknife delivers a genre-blurring blend of indie pop textures, fusing emotionally raw lyrics with dreamy soundscapes and DIY sensibilities. Inspired by the confessional intimacy of Girl in Red, the fuzzy nostalgia of Beabadoobee, and the glam alt-pop boldness of Chappell Roan, their sound is at once delicate and intense. Based in Newcastle, Australia, Butterknife is a two-piece band consisting of Gracie May (vocalist/producer) and Bree Redman (drummer). Their chemistry brings both depth and dynamism to their music. At the core of Butterknife's music lies a candid exploration of identity, heartbreak, and self-discovery. Song Info: ‘Details’ is an indie rock/alt-pop track blending driven guitar riffs with dreamy synth textures, inspired by Beabadoobee, Rachel Chinouriri, and The 1975. As the third single from Butterknife’s new and improved era, it leans into a more polished, guitar-forward sound. Lyrically, ‘Details’ explores relationship anxiety and intuition, the feeling of overthinking small moments, only to realise after the fact that those instincts were right. The track balances introspective verses with a catchy, cathartic hook.
