Inspired by Clancy’s upbringing in Oberon, a small town in the Central West of NSW, ‘My Hometown’ captures the universal details of country life - one road in, one road out, familiar faces, shared histories and communities that punch well above their weight. “My Hometown is a song that was largely inspired by where I grew up – it’s a town of less than 3,000 people,” tells the singer-songwriter. “There are no traffic lights or chain stores. There’s one main road into town, and one main road out.”
