Connie Kis Anderson
"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace." - Jimi Hendrix Troubled by the disharmonious state of the world, the political conflict and personal unrest that is currently so prevalent in the news and on social media, Connie Kis Andersen has decided to momentarily break away from releasing tracks to radio from her ICMA 2026 Best Independent Australian Country Award winning album; REFLECTIONS and drop a new, re-recorded version of her previous hit single; GONE WISHIN’. This a-political, poignant track is a timely, and gentle pro-peace reminder, acknowledging the generational trauma of those who have endured conflict. A trauma that will sadly perpetuate the hostility we are witnessing today and hinder any hope for peace. Written from a third person perspective, this song recognises the drastic impact that struggle and loss can have on a family – in particular children. Connie Kis’ message finishes with an emotive wish for a new world, a world that is free from tears and tyranny.
