About the Artist

Following on quickly from recent single ‘tell me I’m wrong’, Melbourne band DACY have released their brand new single ‘so long’. Says the band: “‘so long’ is about wanting to know if the relationship you’re in is the real thing. You’ve been waiting all your life to feel this way but you’ve been wrong in the past and hurt before so you need the clarity. You need to hear them say out loud that it’s really love and that they’re feeling the same way you do before you fall completely.” DACY make music for the moments you almost say something - the conversations you replay on the way home, the feelings you pretend aren’t there until they are. Stepping into 2026 as fully independent artists, the Melbourne-based brother-sister duo write emotionally direct songs built on lived experience and instinct, sitting at the intersection of indie pop, rock and modern Americana. Made up of singer-songwriters Jack and Ruby Dacy, the duo draw inspiration from the timeless songwriting of Fleetwood Mac, John Mayer and Tom Petty, alongside contemporary artists like Role Model, Wallows and Gracie Abrams. The band have supported artists across Australia and sold out their first headline show at The Workers Club in Melbourne. In late 2023, they released their self-titled debut EP, which debuted at #5 on the Australian ARIA Album Chart and #33 on the overall ARIA Chart. Following the release of the EP, Jack and Ruby launched their own independent label, Yes Records, and are currently writing and producing their debut album in their home studio.
