About the Artist

I’m absolutely thrilled to have my first single release. I wrote ‘High Country Hero’ about a year ago. I wanted to capture the essence of the spirit of the horse, one of the most soulful animals many of us know them to be. I did some research on the origins of horses in our country and the song evolved from there. Horses were introduced to Australia with the first fleet, before Commonwealth time. Many of which have evolved to become the magnificent brumbies that roam free in Australia’s High Country today. I am releasing this particular song as a dedication to the brumbies and stockmen of the High Country, and the hope to keep our national treasures safe from the fate that is currently befalling them.
