Mareya is a Māori–Australian pop artist, producer, and songwriter born in Aotearoa (New Zealand) and now based in Naarm/Melbourne. Her music blends raw vulnerability with high-energy, genre-bending production, exploring mental health, neurodivergence, identity, fem-empowerment, and emotional resilience. Her 2024 single Need You Now reached No.1 on the Brazilian Dance iTunes Charts and charted Top 20 in Australia, alongside growing international airplay across Europe, the UK, and high rotation on college radio in the USA. She has shared stages with artists including The Veronicas and toured nationally with DJ Morning Maxwell. Her 2025 EP Glitter Tears released via her former label Tomboi Records marked a significant chapter, receiving sustained US radio rotation across stations in Oregon, North Carolina and New York, contributing to a steadily growing international audience. With a sound that balances honesty, energy, and an angsty edge, Mareya has decided to tackle 2026 as an independent artist with new material that expands her sonic palette and reflects an artist fully in motion.
