I was Born in Charleville QLD 1988 and grew up in a small town called Morven about 90km from Charleville. From the age I could hold a guitar I always had one in my hand with my father having a passion for music and playing in local bands. At the age of 8 we moved to a town called Biloela in QLD where I continued his music journey traveling around to various country music festivals and competing with Dad standing behind playing the guitar. As a teenager we had a family band with Dad (Russell) on Bass, Brother (Casey) on drums, and mate (Nigel) on lead guitar playing at local venues around Biloela for a couple of years before the band members went separate ways After 18 years of working, raising a family and playing very little music. I am now back doing what I love with a very deliberate focus on performing at every opportunity and producing my own original music. Song Info: Try While You Still can is written about the fact that we only get one life so make the most of it. For me personally I drafted this song when I was 19 years old and it was about Rugby League at the time, now 18 years later it’s about music so I have adjusted the lyrics to be more generic to relate to anyone at any point in their life. The song is deliberately a high energy song for maximum effect.
