Sarah Catania
Fresh off a breakout run as a Top 10 Grand Finalist in the prestigious Toyota Star Maker Competition, Sarah Catania returns with ‘You’re Gonna Remember Me’, a bold country-pop anthem made for the big stage. Produced by Rod McCormack at The Music Cellar, ‘You’re Gonna Remember Me’ captures Sarah at her most assured - equal parts ambitious, heartfelt and unapologetically determined. With soaring hooks, anthemic energy and Sarah’s powerhouse vocal front and centre, ‘You’re Gonna Remember Me’ leans into the grit and hope behind chasing a lifelong dream, while doubling as a statement from an artist rapidly rising through the ranks of Australian country music. “The writing process for this song was different to anything I've experienced,” says Sarah. “It was a zoom write with my producer Rod McCormack and the amazing Sam Gay based over in Nashville. We wrote it for my Toyota Star Maker Grand Final performance, I was so excited and filled with so much ambition and hope, and I think that really comes across through the lyrics.” Inspired by the spark that first drew her to country music and the relentless pursuit that followed, ‘You’re Gonna Remember Me’ taps into the universal feeling of backing yourself before the rest of the world catches up. There’s an undeniable sense of momentum woven through the track, despite the recording’s unorthodox unfolding. “This song came together remotely,” Sarah explains. “I was in Melbourne, and Rod up in the Central Coast, and we had a deadline to reach for Star Maker. Once the competition was done, we spent some time in the studio really building the track and adding to it. It was a brand-new production process for me.”
