Scotty Lif is a singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist crafting emotionally driven music rooted in reflection, resilience, and authenticity. With a background that includes touring with Joan Osborne as her stage manager and years spent managing bands while developing his own artistry, Scotty brings both depth and experience to his work. Following earlier releases including The Next Chapter, Down To The Breakers, and a series of introspective singles, he now enters a new creative phase with Detour Dreams, a three-song EP that highlights his evolving sound and enduring commitment to honest songwriting. I just released my new single, “Detour Dreams,” co-written with AJ Perdomo of The Dangerous Summer, who also produced and engineered the track. Drums were performed by Kyle Adams of Cartel. “Detour Dreams” is an emotional, melodic alt-rock song about chasing the life you imagined, getting pulled off course, and realizing that sometimes the detour becomes the dream itself. It blends heart-on-sleeve storytelling with a driving, anthemic sound, built for fans of The Dangerous Summer, Dashboard Confessional, Jimmy Eat World, The Gaslight Anthem, and Bruce Springsteen.
