About the Artist

smallways. formed in 2023, and are Sydney’s most chaotic punk art duo. Forging a sound that’s as unpredictable as it is infectious, the band combines drums, 5-string bass, and dual vocals to create a tense, hook heavy hybrid of punk, hip-hop, and noise. Their music swings from melodic to distorted, landing somewhere between the likes of Viagra Boys, The Pixies, Talking Heads, SQUID, B-52s, The Garden, Amyl & The Sniffers, and System Of A Down. They’re familiar yet entirely their own. smallways. are two musicians, with the sound of a full band. Over the past 18 months, smallways. have meticulously crafted their debut EP, delivering immersive, layered compositions that showcase the ambition and depth of a full band. Alongside the EP, the duo have released multiple self-produced tracks, capturing raw ideas and experimentation, highlighting their versatility, DIY ethos, and variety in creative vision With each release, smallways. blends their craft with bold experimentation, building a compelling story of growth, sound, and ambition.
