About the Artist
Multi-award-winning Toowoomba singer-songwriter Sue Ray has released her powerful new single Before The Rain, giving fans a look into her upcoming full-length album of the same name. Recorded in Nashville with five-time Grammy Award-winning sound engineer Sean Sullivan and renowned producer Mike Eli Lopinto (Chris Stapleton band), Before The Rain heralds a new chapter in Sue Ray’s celebrated career. The song combines honest lyrics, rich vocals and the storytelling that has become her trademark. This has earned her three Queensland Music Awards, a nomination for Best Country Album at the AIR Independent Music Awards, and recognition as a semi-finalist in the 2023 International Songwriting Competition. "This song is the emotional heartbeat of the album," Sue said. "It captures the quiet strength we find in moments of reflection just before change arrives." Sue Ray's upcoming album is her strongest work to date, reflecting her growth as an artist and her commitment to creating music on her own terms without compromising on quality.
