Suede Effect
Open your earholes and duck for cover because Suede Effect has arrived to apply two to three generous coats of noise directly to your eardrums. After years of experimentation, the Darkinjung/Central Coast band have concocted the perfect combination of psych, punk and indie in a big unmarked vat and are ready to serve it to you steaming hot. Since their formation, they've been honing their musical abilities preparing for the day you make your way to their explosive live show. They know that united they are stronger, with their iconic four vocalist structure leaving them undefeated at the top of the ladder this season. With a wide range of influences including your favourite band (yes that one) and rave reviews from critics that are too underground for you to have heard, you can't go wrong with Suede Effect. Song Info: Recorded at Sonora Studios with producer Aaron Frost, “WASHED AWAY” explores themes of loneliness, heartbreak and isolation through layered emotive vocals and the epic orchestration accompanies it up until its full conclusion. This is a new step in a different direction for Suede Effect, leaning into a more polished and professional sound as they delve into writing and producing their newer works. “WASHED AWAY” follows the last EP “ALLSORTS” that SUEDE EFFECT had released in November 2025, where single “MELLOW NIGHTS” received Triple J airtime as well as media posts in sites such as Happy Mag, Local Sounds radio and Homebrewed media. “Its a song about isolation and vulnerability and we want people to feel these emotions throughout the song, the chords we chose and the string arrangement is our way to convey these feelings to the audience.”
