About the Artist
Sydney is a 23-year-old independent singer-songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee. Originally from Massachusetts, she grew up playing piano and began secretly writing songs at just 11 years old. She later graduated from Belmont University in Spring 2025 with a Bachelor's degree in Songwriting. Sydney is currently working on her second EP, due out this fall, with its lead single, "Hypothetically," available now. She takes every opportunity to perform live and has several upcoming shows, including Nashville's popular venue, The Cobra, in October (date to be announced). Influenced by artists like The Eagles, Taylor Swift, Gracie Abrams, and Kelsea Ballerini, Sydney aims to write vulnerable, heartfelt lyrics that remind listeners they aren't alone. Outside of music, she's been a gymnastics coach since she was 16 and loves working with kids. Follow Sydney on her socials to stay up to date with her music! Song Info: "Hypothetically" is a confession to my middle school. Well, ok maybe he just inspired it. Who it's actually about will forever remain a secret, but it captures the unhinged thoughts we all feel when we have a crush. It was written solely by myself, and recorded and co-produced in Nashville, TN with producer Grant Shed. The flirty summer bop is perfect for anyone who wants to get lost in their delusional thoughts for three minutes! Hope you enjoy listening :)
