Sunrise

CharEm is an emerging Sister Duo band based in Melbourne Australia, consisting of Emilee Zeegers and Charlotte Zeegers. They are independent singer-songwriters and have been performing together since 2017. Their use of tight harmonies, and catchy riffs create their indie, folk, pop sound whilst also incorporating elements of rock and punk rock. Emilee and Charlotte's distinctive style draws inspiration from a broad musical palette encompassing everything from Australian Rock to Modern Pop and Ballads and are inspired by artists like Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Dido, 5 Seconds of Summer, Hunters and Collectors, and Icehouse. Emilee and Charlotte draw inspiration from personal and observed experiences, encountered in their past. Song Info: Sunrise was inspired by a photograph taken by a friend of a sunrise from one of the mountains near where Emilee and Charlotte grew up. We wanted to capture that fragile moment where you know things are breaking, but you just want time to freeze for a few more hours. Sunrise is for anyone who has ever tried to stretch a final night out with someone because you knew goodbye was waiting at dawn. It was recorded in our home studio by both Emilee and Charlotte and produced by Charlotte.
