Before the STORM

I'm a Dutch musician and producer based in Tasmania who started making music in her 40s. I write, record and produce my own music and music videos. I create because it gives me joy, and because the act of creation helps release and process repressed emotions. Basically, my music and videos are an external projection of my subconscious inner world. VAN RAVEN sounds like a dark collision of alternative rock, grunge, alternative metal and goth rock. Raw vocals, heavy guitars and atmospheric textures meet emotionally charged songwriting, exploring love, lust, identity, fate and the darker side of being human. Song Info: VAN RAVEN’s “Before the Storm” is dark, atmospheric alternative rock exploring fate, manifestation and the feeling that something inevitable is approaching. Heavy guitars, weighty bass and haunting violins build tension in a dramatic arrangement before falling back into quiet.
