Like a Secret

Alt rock / grunge pop. Heavy guitars, catchy hooks, a low and emotional female voice, and a dark, haunting edge.

“Like a Secret” is a DIY project and was recorded and mixed in my living room. It's about the tension between two people who are strongly attracted to each other but don’t act on it. The lyrics focus on the physical pull between them, while a deeper layer touches on love as a spiritual experience and the idea of finding something divine in another person. Musically, the song builds with the same sense of tension. Heavy, driving guitar riffs sit beneath low, intimate vocals before opening into a bigger, melodic chorus. The arrangement continues to build throughout the track, reaching its heaviest and most explosive point in the bridge.
