Maybe There’s More is an album about chasing joy even through life’s hardest times. It is very much my story, told through indie pop songs.
We all have those things we dream about and reach for in life. Meeting your first child. Buying that house. Landing that shinier position with the nicer pay cheque.
But what if you never got those things?
What if you never held your child, never got promoted, or could never afford that house?
Could you still find joy?
These songs came out of that tension — I’ve experienced some of the hardest times in my life recently and thankfully I was still able to find my joy.
Maybe joy isn’t waiting for us at the finish line.
Maybe it’s already here, despite our circumstances.
This album is my attempt to notice it, reach for it, and grab hold of it.
My hope is that it can pick someone up off the floor and help them find their joy.
