About the Artist
Melbourne singer-songwriter Aimee Francis returns on September 1 with “After the Afterparty,” a bold new single capturing what remains when the noise fades, the crowd disappears and the night finally catches up with you.
Blurring the boundaries between rock, pop and country, “After the Afterparty” sits firmly within Francis’ self-described space of being “too pop for rock and too rock for pop.” Driven by her unmistakable voice, honest songwriting and unapologetic personality, the track delivers the heart of a confessional song with the energy of a live rock performance.
“‘After the Afterparty’ feels like the clearest version of who I am as an artist,” says Francis. “It has the heart, the mess, the humour and the rock ’n’ roll energy. I’ve been sitting on it long enough, and I’m genuinely excited for people to finally make it their own.”
Known for her towering stage presence, signature red mohawk and ability to turn a room of strangers into a community, Francis has shared stages with artists including P!NK, Rod Stewart, Blondie, Alice Cooper, Pat Benatar, Wolfmother and Wheatus. Her music and candid online presence have also attracted a growing international audience, including more than 50,000 followers on TikTok.
“After the Afterparty” marks the beginning of a new chapter for Aimee Francis, bringing together the grit of rock, the immediacy of pop and the storytelling at the centre of everything she creates.
“After the Afterparty” will be available on all major streaming platforms from September 1, 2026
