Bag Raiders are back in the groove with another stellar track ‘Ur Type’ featuring vocals from Sydney’s Y2K princess Abby Bella May - dropping on USA label Monstercat. ‘Ur Type’ originates from Abby’s alias Hey Baby, a breakup track about being single, moving to London and feeling ready to flirt and have fun with strangers again. Shortly after, Chris was over in London on tour and met up with Abby, who she sent him a bunch of songs she had been working on. The OG ‘Ur Type’ was one of those tracks and instantly, Chris wanted a version of the tune to play in the club. “Chris invited me to a festival where his mate TEED was playing” says Abby, “and to my surprise before the festival, he showed me a version of ‘Ur Type’ he’d been working with.” Chris picks up the story... “the second I heard ‘Ur Type’ I was hooked. I immediately sent it to Jack and said we need a version of this to play in the club! I pestered Abby for the stems and we did our thing and made a bit of a turbo flip.” Abby continues, “I’ve been a fan of Bag Raiders since I was 15 so it was quite a surreal moment for me to have the honour of working with a couple of dance legends like the Bag Raiders.” While keeping its original lyrics, the rework comprises a faster, fun baseline ready, teased throughout their sets this past year all over the world. ‘Ur Type’ is out now via Monstercat.
