About the Artist
In his most contemporary release to date Sydney based Singer Songwriter, Ben Walker, wants to ask you a question. Will you “Seize the day”? Ben wants your attention and he’s brought the band. Teaming up again with producer Rod Motbey, this edgy, anthemic song has European roots, reminiscent of U2 – driving guitar, an infectious beat and earworm lyrics – the song is as complete as they get.
“This was my first time writing with Jacob Vincent” Ben says, recalling the story of another song written at the famous DAG Sheep Station. I had a pretty full lyric book that day, but there wasn’t an obvious connection between the lines. Jacob and I bounced off each other all afternoon, interlinking each other’s ideas. There’s a lot in the song, but for me it’s about our dreams – they are worth chasing, and while we are chasing them, we should enjoy the view. It is our day to seize.
