About this Song

“Born in 1965 is a nostalgic, blues‑driven reflection on the year Cusapepi bassist Sarge was born. The song draws on the music, cultural shifts and social upheavals of the era, blending personal history with iconic moments from 1965 to create a warm, cinematic tribute to the sounds and stories that shaped a generation.”

About the Artist

Cusapepi is a Melbourne‑based indie rock studio project blending blues grit, cinematic storytelling, and guitar‑driven energy. Formed from a love of classic rock textures and modern edge, the band has been writing and recording together for several years, building a catalogue that feels visual, raw, and emotionally charged. Their sound moves between moody riffs, heartfelt lyrics, and a strong sense of place — shaped by late‑night writing sessions and a commitment to keeping the music honest. Show Me captures that spirit: a track about resilience, self‑belief, and the fire that keeps you pushing forward. Cusapepi continues to carve out a space in the Australian indie scene with songs that celebrate storytelling, texture, and the spirit of independent music.
