His debut single Sweetheart was fan-voted #39 on the UK Independent summer music poll in July 2026, and also received a placement by Cage Riot on their ‘Incoming’ Spotify playlist. This marked a dominant debut for John, achieving popularity in the UK across streaming services.
In 2025, John performed his debut Headline show in Melbourne, marking his entrance into the Australian music scene after completing his Music degree at The Australian College of the Arts.
After travelling across Europe in early 2026 to broaden his unique songwriting and production style, John Ives is ready to showcase his passion for pop music with his new release, Tides.
