Transience explores the idea of a love connection, the decision to pursue it, and the hope that one moment will be more than just a memory left to fade with time.
It is both cryptic and deliberate, with embedded easter eggs in the lyrics, instrumentation and found sounds that touch on the artists own lived experiences on a more intimate level, as well as the lyrics and music both individually following the same narrative that leaves interpretation open for listeners.
Transience was created with the hope listeners can find their own story within it from their own experiences in love, connection and the idea that whether we welcome it or not, time is the great eraser of cherished and or painful recollected moments.
About the Artist
Growing up in rural Western Australia and now creating music in rural South Australia, Kai Luzi creates alternative indie-folk that blends organic instrumentation with experimental textures and immersive storytelling. Influenced by artists including Bon Iver and Ben Howard, each song unfolds as a narrative where the music is just as important as the lyrics.
Writing and recording independently, Kai layers live instruments with found sounds and atmospheric production to create songs that feel intimate and evocative. Drawing from lived experiences, the songs explore life's quiet and defining moments, complexities within them, and the emotions that often sit beneath the surface, leaving space for listeners to find their own meaning within each story.
