Behind the song

“Dusty Dreams” is a self-penned song from Queensland based Bush Balladeer Kerri Perrett. Drawing directly from her connection and love for the Australian bush and its rich heritage, “Dusty Dreams” shines a well-deserved spotlight on the resilient women on the land – those who are the heart of so many family-run operations, and who’s love, support and dedication keep the home fires burning. Combining traditional storytelling with a modern warmth, “Dusty Dreams” celebrates the true heart and soul of the Australian home front. This song marks the beginning of Kerri’s songwriting journey, with more ballads to be released in the very near future. Dusty Dreams was recorded at LWM House and produced by Lindsay Waddington.
