About the Artist
Mitch Santiago is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist from Boorloo/Perth, Western Australia, building gritty, cinematic indie rock from the ground up.
Mitch writes, produces and performs all of his own music, layering guitar, bass, drums, synths and keys into immersive walls of sound that balance raw intensity with anthemic release. Every detail is intentional — every track unmistakably his.
At the heart of it all is emotion. His songs live somewhere between vulnerability and eruption — honest lyrics delivered through powerful vocals that swell from intimate moments into explosive, full-bodied choruses. Whether through headphones or on stage, his music is designed to hit you in the chest.
Since releasing his debut single Falling at 13, Mitch has grown a global audience, amassing over 7 million streams and touring across Australia, the UK and Europe. From touring internationally to major festival stages, his live show is known for its energy, live looping and all-in delivery.
Mitch's latest song, FIREFLY, was written in a dark chapter leading into a breakup.
Mitch says, "FIREFLY is a song which I wrote when I was feeling pretty down. It's a bit of a breakup song which was actually written before me and my partner at the time split up. It sort of goes through the feelings of walking on thin ice and things just weren't really going so well. It's a bit of an emotional indie-pop banger."
