Monique Murphy is an Australian indie rock artist from Newcastle, currently based in London for work. Raised on DIY songwriting and late-night bedroom demos, she makes emotionally direct indie rock built on confessional storytelling, rich vocal harmonies and driving guitar riffs. Deeply involved in the Newcastle and Maitland event scenes, Murphy organised community-led, multidisciplinary shows with friends, including Newy West Block Fest, Prickly Pear and Girls Will Be Girls. Her debut single “I Owe London” is taken from her upcoming EP Sod’s Law, due spring 2026. The EP balances raw vulnerability with nostalgic grit, for fans of The War on Drugs, The Cranberries and Julia Jacklin.
