About the Artist

Some memories fade with time... but others still feel like sunlight. "Like a 70s Day" is a nostalgic contemporary country track inspired by childhood memories, familiar places, and the warmth of moments that continue to shine brightly through the years. Built around memories of a sunlit lemon tree standing quietly beside a dirt track, the song reflects on life's simple pleasures and the places that remain part of us long after we've left them behind. Catchy hooks, familiar '70s references, and an uplifting melody combine to create a feel-good soundtrack celebrating youth, freedom, and simpler times. Carrying an easy-going, radio-friendly warmth, the track aligns naturally with the renewed appreciation for retro-inspired themes across contemporary country music. It is well suited to contemporary country, country-pop, nostalgia, easy listening, feel-good, and road trip programming. “Like a 70s Day” is the second single from Sandy Summers' forthcoming album, “Summer Glare”. Continuing the album's themes of sunshine, storytelling and lasting memories, it offers another glimpse into a collection of original songs that celebrate the people, places, and moments that leave their mark long after summer fades. Warm, relatable, and instantly memorable, “Like a 70s Day” is a song that invites listeners to smile, reminisce, and find a little of their own story within it.
