About the Artist
Sandy Summers is a multi-award-winning singer-songwriter and soloist from Cessnock, NSW AUS. Known for her vibrant performances, bubbly personality and heartfelt lyrics, Sandy blends alt-country, rock, and country ballad influences into her rich, expressive sound. Named "2026 Best Female Vocalist" at the ACM People’s Choice Awards & "2025 Best New Australian Independent Female Country Artist" at the ICMA Awards, Sandy is an accredited classically trained singer who was recently recognised for her contribution to Australian Country Music with a "2026 Dusty Boots Award". Sandy began singing, writing & performing in 2015. After a banking & modelling career she took up singing lessons through the Australian Music Examination Board. She fulfilled her childhood dream when she burst onto the solo scene in 2023 with the debut single “Jet Lag” from her EP “Summer Storm”. Sandy has since built an impressive catalogue, releasing over 10 tracks in 3yrs. Her music consistently charts on the Country Songs Top 40 Australian Airplay chart, with her last single/s “Too Many Sunsets” & “Like A 70s Day” spending 5 weeks inside the Top 10, the latter marking a milestone, debuting at #2. Many of her songs have also gained recognition on AMRAP’s charts including “Run Today” & her striking cover “Angel of the Morning”. Sandy’s upcoming release “Merry-Go-Round Midnight Meet” will be the 3rd track from her forthcoming album "Summer Glare". Sandy is a consistent, passionate supporter of community radio and fellow artists. She takes a diverse, original approach to her music, writing & drawing on influences from Rock n Roll to Country Ballads & Classical; some of her favourites include Doris Day, Miranda Lambert & Tom Petty; all shape Sandy's distinctive sound. She also collaborates with her peers through songwriting workshops & extends her creative flair into visuals, working with the likes of Blacklist Production & Roaming Creatives for her numerous music videos. Sandy never sits still with her music. She remains deeply connected to her craft & those who support it. Following the 2026 Tamworth Country Music Festival Sandy entered an intense songwriting phase, penning a deeply personal collection of songs which form the much anticipated album "Summer Glare" Sandy says “...
