About the Artist

TeaBeaDea is an independent, self-releasing solo artist and bedroom producer based in Mallorca, Spain. Influenced by psychedelic rock, alternative pop, and the DIY tradition, he writes, records, mixes, and masters all his own music. Who Am I — his seven-track debut EP — is out now on all major streaming platforms. Independent artist TeaBeaDea has released “Cedric Gnome” alongside his full debut EP Who Am I, out now on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major streaming platforms. The EP — seven tracks written, recorded, mixed, and mastered in a home studio in Mallorca — has been building momentum through a series of singles released throughout 2026, and is already gaining traction via placements on a variety of global Spotify playlists. “Cedric Gnome” begins somewhere familiar and almost comic: that mildly frustrating, entirely human feeling of wandering from room to room having completely forgotten what you came for. Thoughts enter and go down the drain. Cedric starts over again. It’s relatable, even charming. But the song doesn’t stay there. As it moves through its three sections, the absent-mindedness deepens into something more serious — the kind of memory loss that isn’t just inconvenient but identity-threatening. By the final verse, childhood stories are vivid and present while questions asked five seconds ago have already dissolved. The song is, underneath its playful surface, an honest and empathetic portrait of watching someone — a parent, a grandparent, someone you love — gradually become a stranger to themselves. But “Cedric Gnome” doesn’t end in darkness. The closing section shifts into something more tender — a message of release addressed to whoever needs to hear it, including perhaps a future version of yourself. “Fly away,” the chorus urges. “Lighten your load. Find your way out of here.” There’s a recognition in the final lines that some people begin to signal, quietly and without words, that they know their time is coming — and that being freed from an increasingly failing body and mind might not be the worst thing. “When you are gone, leave all your memories here” is as much a blessing as it is a goodbye.
