Writing it together as two dads made it hit even deeper. With everything going on in the world, it feels more important than ever to slow down and be present - because those moments don’t come back.” “I met Casey about 20 years ago when he was playing a rugby gig I’d done a couple of years earlier, just before my career took off,” recalls Pete. “We talked about his goals with original music, and a lot has happened for both of us since then. Now, here we are, writing a song together after all this time. I believe ‘Time To Burn’ is something everyone will connect with.” Co-written by Casey Barnes, Pete Murray, Michael Paynter and Michael DeLorenzis, “Time To Burn” represents a natural creative meeting point, blending modern country with classic Australian singer-songwriter sensibility.
